Kathy Taylor, a K4 teacher at Batesburg-LeesvillePrimary School, has been named as the 2011-12 Lexington County School District Three Teacher of the Year.  The announcement was made at the Teacher of the Year Banquet, held in the District Office Staff Development Room on Monday, September 19.  2010-11 District Teacher of the Year, Jake Getson announced the name of the 2011-12 District Teacher of the Year at the Banquet. Jake is a math teacher at Batesburg-LeesvilleHigh School and also serves as a coach.  Jake has represented the District well as Teacher of the Year and he also serves as co-chairman of the District’s Teacher Forum along with Mary Claire Price, the 2009-10 District Teacher of the Year from Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School. Mr. Getson and Mrs. Price were on hand to present awards and gifts to the finalists after the announcement.
